Building a Balanced Life
As we start to age how do we build a balanced life.
In our 20’s- 30’s we are usually trying to figure out how to balance our lives with kids, pets, school, activities, marriage or relationship, work, activities, bills, money and so on.
By the time we reach our 40’s life can look very different. We might start experiencing empty nest syndrome, we may be looking for our purpose now that life has shifted. Some of us may be on our third or fifth marriage. Our health might become a huge priority for us in this stage of life.
As we move into our 50’s and beyond life can really become a test. The price of living may be beyond what we have for money. Our health may be rapidly declining, we might begin to think we are too old for sex or pleasure.
For myself I have studied aging for the majority of my life. Gerontology is the study of aging, and many people refer to me as a Gerontologist. My main studies were sex and aging and death and dying.
Many of my clients have issues around sexuality, cancer, no purpose, fear, loneliness, and anger. Some might be experiencing past trauma that is starting to resurface.
A few things to begin looking at to bring a bit of balance into your life is how you begin your morning. Do you have a morning practice?
This morning practice can be started with intention setting.
I now set the intention to focus today
I now set the intention that money flows to me
I now set the intention to let go of stress and anxiety today
As you get up and moving you can add in meditation. There are many ways to meditate.
Guided meditation
Showering with intention
Breathwork
Movement
After meditation putting some high vibe foods and drinks into your system.
There are many ways to create a positive flow to begin your day. This is one way to bring more balance into your life.
I really enjoy watching many of my clients grow and stretch their interest in creating a new life. One of my clients has cancer and had tried everything so she contacted me to get better connected to God. I taught her about energy work, sound healing and using prayer beads.
Another client who is 70 has been with me for three years and was Mormon. She had been following that religion most of her life. Now at 70 she is all about essential oils, sound healing, energy work and alternative healing. This weekend she was attending a new healing center in our community to try floating!
We get to stretch our minds and spirit and ask: what else is possible for me in this life?
It all begins with changing your mindset and being open to many different ways of living and being. Once we create this change in our lives it becomes much easier to face each day with any challenges that may present themselves to us.
Reach out to me and become a new client and let’s begin your awakening.
